Camp Bestival: Exclusive Announcement on First HeadlinerCamp Bestival might not be taking place on the Island, but we know that there will be plenty our readers, who’ll be making the trip across the Solent come next June to experience the wonder of a Bestival festival.

Many people have already bought their tickets for Bestival 08 and Camp Bestival 08 despite not knowing the lineup. Well, we can exclusively reveal that if you have already bought your tickets, it was most certainly money well spent.

Headlining Camp Bestival on Friday night will be none other than rock n’ roll hero, Chuck Berry! Yes you heard right – our Robbie has gone and done it again.

More info to follow shortly, but in the meantime, other live acts confirmed include: Suzanne Vega, Billy Bragg, Kid Creole & the Coconuts, The Cuban Brothers, Florence and The Machine, King Creosote, Ladyhawke, The Wurzels, and Scroobius Pip.

On the turntables will be Andy Weatherall, Kevin Rowland, Rob da Bank, Idjut Boys, Greg Wilson, Queens of Noize, Maurice Fulton, Mungos Hi Fi, and Gregs Greats.
