Wight Satin Ladies Barbershop Chorus: Raising Cash For Charity
Monday, 19th November, 2007 at 12:58 pm, Isle of Wight
Well done to the Wight Satin Ladies Barbershop Chorus, who took in the televised broadcast of Children in Need at Milestones Museum, Basingstoke last Friday.
The chorus had written a song, “Pudsey Bear”, especially for the event and whilst they were performing this, Chorus director Nick Frampton was interviewed by Georgie Palmer where he presented a cheque for £2,200.
The chorus have been fundraising for Children In Need since July this year and have toured the Island in a vintage bus, singing in many locations around the island, on Wightlink Ferries and at Gunwharf Quays.
A video of some of their fundraising performances can be found on the BBC South Today.
Their next performance will be at Osborne House Victorian Christmas Weekend followed by appearances in Cowes, Shanklin, Northwood House and Ventnor Winter Gardens.
Check out their website for more info.
