Schools Shake Up Demo
Friday, 21st September, 2007 at 4:35 pm, Isle of Wight
Thanks to IW Radio for the heads up on another demo which has been arranged for 12.30 tomorrow afternoon.
Tensions are rising on this subject as the council seem determined to keep pushing this proposal, but the demo will remain peaceful.
Hundreds of people are expected to gather in St Thomas’ Square in Newport to protest against the proposed changes to the schools system, to move year nine students to middle school and the possible closure of two high schools.
[The demo has been organised by the FaT (Freshwater and Totland) Samba Band]
