Great to see that the Isle of Wight features once again on The Guardian Unlimited wesbite, this time in their 25 Great Ideas for Autumn Getaways.
Great idea number 20 suggests that as part of British Food Fortnight (22 September-7 October), readers should head over to the Island for the first ever Sweetcorn Festival.
Arreton Barns will host the four day event which kicks off with a beer festival on 27 September, followed by the ‘Day of the Sausage’ and then a sweetcorn roast, apple pressing, BBQ and a barn dance. Check their site for more details.
