If you’re heading off to Bestival this year and feel the need to get warmed up beforehand (and I’m not talking about the cardi competition), you might want to head over to Quay Arts on Thursday 6th September.

Quay Arts Cinema: Awesome;... I shot thatAs part of the Quay Arts Cinema, a film created by a Beastie Boys audience is on the bill.

The film was created at the king of hip hops Madison Square Garden gig on 9th October 2004. The band handed handed out 50 video cameras to the audience and these newly appointed cameramen, dotted around the stadium, were given one simple instruction: just keep shooting!

By capturing the energy and excitement of the live performance and the reaction of the crowds, this sounds surely makes for a fantastic film and a great way to start the weekend early.

Tickets are only £4 and the film starts at 7.30pm. Sure to be a popular choice, probably best to call the box office to book your tickets pronto (01983 822490).
