Hi, Message for Darren Toogood. My father, Donald Toogood originally came from the I.O.W. He died in a plane crash in 1956 whilst serving in the RAF, aged 30. My mother was a Welsh girl named Glenys. I believe that one of my dad’s brothers was named Robin and he lived in the Ryde area at the time. I know that my grandmother eventually lived in the care home at Osborne House until her death. My grandad was a painter decorater in Ryde. It would be great to know if we are related or if you have any contact for this side of the family. Kindest Regards, David.

Message fo David Toogood. I don’t know about your relationship with Darren Toogood, but you are certainly related to me! I can concur with all the other facts that you listed. Your Grandmother was my Auntie Mable and you Grandad was my Uncle George living in Ryde. Your Dad, Donald, had 2 brothers, Brian and Robin and 2 sisters, Celia and Sandra. Your mother, Glenys, was a very good friend of my mother. You can contact me by replying to this comment. Nigel Shaw
