1,000 IW Festival Tickets Go On SaleUPDATE:It’s Sunday the 3rd June, not this week.

Just in case you haven’t heard, the IW Festival will be selling just over 1,000 extra tickets on Sunday morning at 9am (!) to Islanders (detailed below).

Most of the tickets sold out in record time when they went on sale in February, even before the news that the Rolling Stones were going to play was made official.

Two venues will have the rare tickets, HMV in Newport & Libertys Cafe Bar in Ryde.

As it’s getting close to the event, we’re hearing lots of people asking if there are any spare tickets around, so the timing is impeccable.

That mischievous Mr Giddings obviously couldn’t resist the chance to have a little dig when he was interviewed on Solent TV, saying they were available for “those who didn’t get it together to get themselves a ticket before.”
