How about this for an offer and a half!
Tomorrow night gracing the stage at Ryde Theatre with a seven piece band, is the former James Brown Revue singer, Marva Whitney.
Her powerful funky soul voice and output of quality records some produced by JB himself and other producers including The Isley Brothers are historic in their own right to anyone who loves funk and soul.
The late great Mr. Brown himself, even proclaimed this woman ‘Soul Sister #1’.
Adding to the mix will be DJ’s from Ventnor and London, DJ Sparrow and Brother Lee (The Peas Sound System) playing soul, funk and R&B and a DJ set from tour manager and Soulpower label owner DJ Pari, this is a night not to be missed – by anyone.
