Portsmouth Harbour Station Closed
Wednesday, 24th January, 2007 at 1:43 pm, Isle of Wight
For those of you leaving the Island, a quick heads up – Portsmouth Harbour station is currently closed for engineering works and will be until at least 4 February I was told.
Apparently it’s planned engineering works, but getting off the FastCat on the mainland was the first I’d heard about it.
There’s a free replacement bus service that takes you to Fratton station, which when I took it, met with the train without problems.
Not sure what’s it’s done to the timetable, but it appears that there’s details on their site. Strangely it looks like the bus service only runs until 31.Jan.
Our On-The-Spot FastCat reporter, Clarence Old Boy, will be keeping us on track (ha ha) with any changes.
