Fresh out of prison, Ricky (Ashley Waters) is trying to stay clean, but he owes a debt of friendship to his best friend, Wisdom. In this gritty contemporary drama, we are taken into the inner-city world of young black mean and the allure of guns, with the enevitable consequences of violence and human cost. Dibb’s downbeat, unsentimental treatment gives the film enormous power.
